How to do Luxury in Florida

There is plenty of luxury in Florida. Sure, most of us think about the amazing theme parks and attractions rather than top-of-the-range spas or beachfront villas, but every year thousands of people choose Florida as their ideal luxury holiday destination. Let us show you how and where so you can do the same.

Orlando VIP Style

Walt Disney World is perhaps the standout Orlando attraction for families. If the thought of standing in queues all day or navigating the huge park fills you with dread, then relax – do you think Americans – where service is king – have no thought of a solution? Of course they have! Investigate Walt Disney World’s private VIP tour services. You can pay by the hour and get door-to-door transportation from your accommodation to the park, speedy entry, preferred seating at events and stage shows, and a personal guide who can help make your experience as bespoke as possible. It’s Walt Disney World but not as you may expect!

Once the sun goes down it is time to sample something entirely different – The Chef’s Table inside Victoria and Albert’s in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the best restaurant in the area and highly coveted – getting a seat here is a big deal.  The chef creates a personalised menu of up to 10 courses and the night includes a champagne toast.

Play Polo in West Palm Beach

Polo is not just for country gents in the UK. There is a big polo scene in the US and West Palm Beach is one of the top places to indulge yourself whilst taking in a game or two. The Polo season runs between January and April, so why not enjoy Sunday brunch at the International Polo Club in Palm Beach with a champagne reception? Enjoy the game and refreshments whilst rubbing shoulders with celebrities and well-to-do locals that the polo club attracts to every game.

Opulent Luxury in Palm Beach

Located in the south of the state, Palm Beach is separated from the mainland by Lake Worth Lagoon and is home to well-to-do residents living in glitzy mansions and opulent estates. It is also very famous, unsurprisingly, for its beaches with Palm Beach Municipal Beach perhaps the most popular. R.G. Kreusler Park and Phipps beach parks are worth checking out, and if you are into golf there are several outstanding options here. Spend your days on the beach, boat fishing, exploring the nearby Everglades or the popular Henry Morrison Flager Museum. If you want to get out further to explore, Miami is within easy distance too – ideal for a night out in one of America’s best nightspots.

Enjoy an Adults-Only Island

If you want to enjoy Florida without the kids, head to Key West. The Little Palm Island Resort and Spa is a private, adults-only island that you can only access via sea or plane and whilst on the island you can even charter a catamaran for a private cruise. Around the island you’ll be able to explore the world’s third-largest barrier reef, which you can also see from above, so you could choose to view it all by seaplane instead if you so wish. Little wonder perhaps then that this resort was named the Best New Hotel by Condé Nast magazine in 2021. It’s the place to go for luxury Florida holidays, that’s for sure.
